I just read these two books and was wondering if anyone else has read them: -Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen -The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
I loved it! It's a new favorite. The premise seemed a little questionable until I started reading and then I couldn't put it down. You should check it out.
I've red them both. I preferred "Water for Elephants" because although "Art of Racing" was quite a moving, proufound book, I felt the narrator - the dog, was a little too smart and onto it for a canine. He was too humanised. "Water for Elephants" was quite an insightful look into the life in a circus during the depression. Have you read her new one, "Ape House"?
