Worlds biggest ice berg - or how do you call it - is leaving Antarctic.

It's about 160km long, 200 meters thick and weights more than family size pizza.

    Fact of the day here:

Kleenex Tissues were invented during WWI for protection against gas attacks.

    Thank you, and good day.

    Early flamethrowers were not 'wind-compatible'.

Call me paranoid, but no flamethrower is modern enough for me to trust it's "wind compatibility".

I've even seen photos of a, well, protester having some near-fatal difficulties when trying to serve his opposite numbers on the other side of the shield wall a refreshing Russian cocktail.

I've never tried to stream Belgium before, but perhaps that's why it was such a dirty word in the Hitchhiker book.

This may be useful to some of our members, but as it's old news I hope they are already aware.

Oreo cookies changed their recipe in 1998, removing the lard and thus becoming kosher.

The common earwig can survive several minutes inside a microwave oven.

Today at work three people heated up their dinner before the insect was noticed crawling around at the back. I got it on a spoon and took it outside, and it crawled away like nothing had happened.

I have only just learnt this fact, despite being a UK citizen all my life, and living in Ireland for over 3 years now.
This is the flag of Saint Patrick...which explains why it features on the Union Jack.

No. My dinner just happened to have been a Holland’s pie (other pies are available) which said earwig had probably crapped all over.
