What are you cooking tonight thread?

Nah, this seems like one for Useless Facts: The average weight of the cremains (ashes) of a properly cremated adult is around 3.5% of their pre-cremation weight. Children, on the other hand, come out at around 2.5%.

The Asoh Defence refers to an open admission of guilt. It’s named after Japanese pilot Kohei Asoh who, on being asked why he landed a plane in San Francisco Bay, 2.5 miles short of the runway, said ‘As you Americans say, I fucked up.’

I remember hearing about that. Probably better that they changed it. Everyone would be like, wait, Mookie sings too?

The longest word is 189,819 letters and takes three-and-a-half hours to pronounce.

    WTF

I imagine that means someone has pronounced it?

There are only four words in the English language which end in “dous”: tremendous, horrendous, stupendous, and hazardous.

No kidding. Apparently 2000 was just... twenty-one years ago. Like...I can still remember being ten and playing Zelda: Majora's Mask at that age.

New York City has their very own species of ant, the Manhatt Ant. Biologists haven’t been able to match the ant to any of the other 13,000 known varieties. According to National Geographic New Yorkers also have their own centipede, sweet bee, and a white footed mouse.
