You can't overestimate the utility of a good shovel... you never know when you'll have to dig a drainage trench, remove three feet of snow to get to work, or lop the head off a rattlesnake.

Wait. But doesn't the term man imply that he is human? Is there some kind of conspiracy going on here.

The tomato is related to the nightshade and native to south america. Tomato plants last through winter if put in a greenhouse which simulates their native jungle habitat. The carrot is related to the parsnip and cilantro, native to the middle-east and the original breed is purple with orange being one of the last colour variations; appearing in the 17th century. Half of the world's carrrot supply is grown in china.

For a few weeks in 1968, a buxom young woman named Francine Gottfried drew crowds of up to 10,000 men who ogled her on her way from the subway to her place of employment.

An Avocado is a fruit. Actually there's a long list of vegetables that are secretly fruits. Tomatoes are fruits and avocados are fruits. While Bananas are berries. And those things you think are seeds on the Strawberries are actually the fruit and the Strawberry just a tasty sexy flesh organ of the fruit and part of the seed. Nature is weird.

I thought the fleshy part of the strawberry was the hypanthium (i.e. a part of the flower/stem).

Also, strawberries, blackberries and raspberries are not berries (they're clusters of small fruits grown together into so called aggregate fruits).

Botanists are just jerks who are trying to confuse us. o_O

There's that saying that goes, "If you can't befuddle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit." I don't know who said that, but a lot of people follow that philosophy. :D

That might be my misinterpretation then about the Strawberry thing; the ovary wall sort of drops off and what enlarges is the patch of tissue that is underneath the structures that contain eggs (the ovules) which then develop into seeds,"

Eggplants and Chili Peppers are technically berries as well.
