Using Classical Languages in a story

    I take it, then, that you are planning to write this for a small, select audience. In that case, YMMV.

    Well, unless you're planning on a very narrow range of interest, I'd not place too much reliance on a handful of people who liked a particular work.

    ditto ed's comments... he saved me from writing the same...

    ...i can see this as a reasonable purpose, but only if done sparingly and in no more than a word or two at a time, no full expressions or sentences... and in a way that the reader won't be left wondering what was said, or being forced to flip back and forth for glossary translations...
    as ed noted, this would certainly annoy the majority of adult readers, so unless you're aiming for the YA market, i can't see it being acceptable to paying publishers, or more than a small number of adult self-pubbed book buyers...
