Would you request a partial from this?

Discussion in 'Traditional Publishing' started by Chanelley, Dec 30, 2008.

Harley Crown thought her life was over when her father announced he was moving the family across the country to the small and dreary town of BallView. Feeling immensely resentful towards her father, already annoyed by her step mother, and feeling like the outcast of her family, Harley can’t see anything positive about the move. But everything changes almost as soon as she puts her foot through the door of their new, slightly dilapidated house.
Harley starts to see the dead. Spirits that are lost on the human dimension, spirits that haven’t moved on. According to her grandmother, who shares the same ability, Harley must help these spirits to move on. All the while defending herself against the magnetic pull her blood seems to have on other supernatural species. Not only that, but there are those who feed off the energy of the dead, who don’t want Harley to master her gift. And they’ll do anything to stop her crossing spirits over.
There is, however, one good thing about the town with a suddenly high murder rate; Aaron White. To Harley, it feels as if destiny brought her to BallView to meet him. She dubs him as her protector, but he claims she should be protected from him. That it is his species, vampires, that crave her blood the most. It is others of his kind that bring about an organisation, older than records began, to rid the town of evil, which leaves Harley in the biggest predicament of her life. Using her abilities to help the organisation would mean ending the vicious killings, but it would also mean driving a stake through her true love’s heart.
'HAUNTED’ follows the life of one girl as she tries to carry the burden of a dangerous, frightening gift while falling into a dark, intense, forbidden love.

So, that's my summary. Would it make you want to read it? Opinions? Thanks! I have had a few partial requests from a previous one, but I've spiced it up a bit to see if this works better.
