Voldemort is Hilarious

So I just saw the final Harry Potter film, and I must say while it was excellent, its spectacular finale is sort of undercut by how unintentionally hilarious Voldemort is. There were a number of times when he would say something in his strange, whispery voice and the whole theater would burst out laughing. And then at the end he gives the most epic awkward hug ever caught on film to Draco Malfoy. Did anyone else find the Dark Lord funny?

 

"Snape. My most trusted spy. I feel that my rule would be more effective if I had a mustache. Thoughts?"

"Umm...I'm sure it'd look fine, my Lord."

"Okay, I'm gonna do it."

"Good luck, sir."

"Well hear mr out, Snape. What if we both grew mustaches? Because if I'm the only one with a mustache, people will think I'm weird. Like 'Hey, there goes that weird guy with a mustache.'"

If anyone hear has a single clue what I'm talking about, High Five!

With the exception of the hug, I didn't massivly find Voldemort funny actually. McGonagall however, had some good lines :')

 

Dude. He freaking giggled.

 

McGonagall was pure gold in DHpt2.

As for Voldemort, I think the hug was awkward, but other than that I didn't find him very funny.

 

This is pure win. And yes, it was worth a whole post to point this out.

 

Pretty sure the hug between Voldemort and Draco was intentionally awkward. Draco just wanted to get the hell away from there. You see him immediately go to his mother and walk away.

But yeah the way he said avada kedavra or whatever was really weird.

 

I thought volemort had a few funny moments in the film - I was a little dissapointed with the end though - it was nothing like in the book

 

Yea, actually I did notice that too, he sort of screams it in this strange way :\

 

Haha exactly what I'm saying! its become a joke between my sister and I to yell that and random statements at each other in his voice.

 

Yeah, i was suprisedd that voldermort couldd ever make me laugh but whenn he thought harry was deadd and laughed crazilyy that wass classsic. the whole cinema was laughing. happiest iv ever seen him

yeaahhh i think everyone noticed howw awkward that hug wass.

mcgonagall was amazing!!!! shee was without doubt my favorite in this last film. she made me laugh and cryyy withh some amazing lines and actingg.. i especially loved the bit where she summoned the castle to protect them and itself, and she said 'ohh iv alwayss wanted to do that spell' or something. awsome!!!!

 

I enjoyed the first few films; then one bored me. I haven't gone back.

 

I noticed that too, even though I haven't seen the movie thread. I really like impersonating him.

"Hello, Pizza Hut? I would like some..." *dramatic pause, holding hand out* "...pepperoni."

 

Why would you do that to those poor Pizza Hut employees?

I only say that since I'm a manager at my Pizza Hut. Anyone else, totally fine by me.
