Name = my initials & year of birth.

Avatar = it's sort of me, in animated-form. Don't like posting photos so much.

Lemex = It's been my internet moniker for a long time. I think I first used it when the Half-Life servers were up. I wanted a name that was quick to type and easy to remember. It's also now one of my nicknames among only very close friends.
    The Picture = It's a wolf. I like wolves.

I chose my name because I love lavender soda. I actually found lavender soda at the store so I wanted to try it since I love the color and scent of lavender so much.

My avatar is just something I made in my paint program and I thought it was pretty.

FoxPaw - I like foxes and "FoxPaw" sounded like something simple to remember. (FoxTail was taken already.) The avatar is of a fox paw to match my username.

Ixloriana -- I got it from a random name generator. :D

I drew the picture. It is of a character named Altaica I drew for a collaborative comic that I discussed with a friend. We never got past the concept art stage, but oh well. Edit: This is the whole picture. (My screen name on a lot of other sites is "StarRaven.")

Nope. My friend (cousin, really) is an artist and was mucking around one day.

I think the likeness is okish, although I don't think I have a chin quite like that...

They're more closely related to dogs, genetically and the shape of their paws.

is that a book? I am not aware of it.

I never tried a random name generator before.
I have just looked at your drawing now, it is very impressive, closely it does look almost feline like.
was that the idea? Altaica I have never heard of.

You might have seen me if you played the first Half-Life or Battlefield 1942 online, that's when I first used the name Lemex. This is going back 10 years or so. A moniker is just another word for a nickname or a pseudonym.

Protar was a world of warcraft character I always used on the forums. My avatar is Rand Al'thor. I was reading WOT when I chose it (and would be still if I wasn't lured back to ASOIAF.) and saw the image on the TVtropes character page.

My username is actually my name. Of all things I'm registered to, or a member of, it seemed using my given name was easiest of all to remember. Plus, I like my name, so why not?
My avatar is a scene from one of my favorite childhood movies "Ace Venture Pet Detective". Jim Carrey has always been a favorite actor of mine, and it's the random hilarity he specializes in that reminds me that I need to laugh every now and then.

@ Cacian: I LOVE "To: Wong Foo. Thanks for Everything." Awesome avatar choice!! ;)

Mine is inspired by a witch common in Eastern European folklore, being a recurring character in dark fairytales, the name seemed apt.

Also I live in a chicken-footed hut in the woods and feed on children by night.

Moniker = a nickname, or pseudonym.
Monitor = what you are presumably looking at to read these words.

I understand a nickname like this:

Thomas is a name and Tom is a nickname.
    so
    where does Moniker come from?
a pseudonym is a name that is made up to refer to another name right?

Where does Moniker come from? I don't honestly know. I'm not entirely sure what you are asking to be honest.
A Pseudonym is a name that is used in place of a real name. Like Stephen King using the name 'Richard Bachman' when publishing Thinner and The Long Walk.

haha....if you made it up then that's fine I just thought it looked very similar to monitor.
I never knew about Stephen King and Richard Bachman.
    that is intriguing.

I thought you did you did..sorry.
    now I get it..thank you Lemex.

moniker - Originally meant a mark left by a tramp on a building or fence to indicate he/she had been there; therefore, a tramp's moniker identified him/her like a signature

this is such a strange definition.
do you actually undersand what they mean by that?

My avatar is a Remembrance Day poppy, which I use every year at around this time. I'll probably keep it until after the weekend, when I'll change back to my usual Labour rose emblem.

My username is a longstanding one. I think it started when a group of friends and I were thinking of starting a website in Year 9, and all came up with terribly witty pseudonyms.

That is what it used to mean. Note the use of the word 'originally'. Just as the word Punk used to mean a Prostitute. Leads to a very amusing reading of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure when one of the lines in the last scene is: 'To marry a punk my Lord?'
