Everyone was leaving to go their own ways.
Regardless of their past, they moved on and continued.
They would think of it time to time, and smile.
Thinking of the foolishness, and that they were more now.
    Looking back on the past,
I think that I was actually happy once.
    But now, everyone’s gone.
I’m all alone and thinking of the way they left.
    No goodbyes or just…
Why can’t I forget everything and move on like everyone else?
I guess I don’t want to forget the pain, the sorrow, and the happiness that I felt.
Only when we were together again, the five of us,
Would I truly be able to leave everything else behind me.
I think that the emotions that I felt with them,
It confused me, and I could never figure out why I felt like that.
    I don’t think I ever will.
So for now, I stay standing,
Waiting for the moment when we meet again.

    Hate's Conquest

They came for me in the night,
and filled me with their loathing,
    Their hate.

A primal urge I had to fight,
as they tortured me through the night,
    that pierced my fleshy clothing,
the whipping, grinding, and mashing that was,
    Their hate.

    Only man, I slowly gave,
a piece of me they whipped and slaved,
through the fiery pain that was,
    Their hate.

By dawn it had consumed me round,
closed my eyes and broke new ground,
as a part of me flew away forevermore,
    with the ravens of nevermore,
    they filled me with,
    My Hate.

I'm extending entry another week, due to the lack of entries. Entry will now close on Monday 15th March.

    The Pioneer-Indebted Alphabet

In a sea of self-created caravan,
from within creeping walls of will-be jungles
it begins amid snakes and pyramid schemes.
Accursed New World - see you on the other side.

    In otherwise empty hardwood cases,
    dandruff combs and emotional forget-me-nots
fill further vessels with effervescent dreams.
Desire, like dry desert, we’ll conquer thee!

In genius quest to win fame and maiden,
Verne never jaded Iceland, nor HG Wells his worlds
and their wars - at this heart a Joseph Conrad.
Oh, for an off-ramp before event horizon.

In spite of eminent direction and pride,
now deep within their element we recall
our pioneers: the good, ugly and bad.
    Incapable, incontinent and interred.

    Love Revised

    The flames of envy,
    lap incessantly.
Like molten waves of pain -

    Through crimson eyes.
    The love that binds,
    is tested by the rain.

    Fear and anger watch.
    They jealously approach,
as back to back we stand:
    The Phoenix of this flame.

    Ice-covered sea

    The nectar
That was running through my veins
    Giving me life
    Turned to poison
    Finds no way out

    Dying on the inside
    I don’t give up
Stomping the ground I stand on
No other side to break through

    The ice-covered sea
    Now remains my only hope
