    Heart beating so fast
The night fondles me in lust
    Catching and clawing

    Outside my window
    The night watching me undress
    Longing for my soul

    Its wants me tonight
    Screaming my name and howling
    Banging on my door

    Until finally
It crawls deep into my soul
    Now, I the monster.

    In the night.

Will you head out at night?
    Will you dare?
If you head out at night,
In the dark of the night,
    Who’s there?
Hear the howls in the night,
    Have a care.
There’s a croak in the night,
    don’t dispare.
There’s a swish in the night,
    through your hair.
There’s a clap in the night,
    it’s not fair.
There’s a chill in the night,
    on the air.
Best get out of the night,
    to your chair.
    What an exciting night,
    Grand affair.

    Final Battle

    Final Battle
He rises to claim his prize,
    From beyond the darkness.
    Claws outstretched,
    Fangs gleaming wide,
He hisses and spits black ink.

    Cunning and ever sly,
    He moves with silent grace.
    Crimson eyes wide,
    Glittering in anticipation,
    He shivers with malicious delight.

    He circles his prize,
And gloats to the overhead clouds.
    Sharp shrieks slice
    The once silent sky,
And harsh echoes roll down the valley.

    Silence reigns,
But for only a brief while.
    Roars thunder,
    The earth shudders,
    The beast has awakened.

    Two grotesque creatures,
Both borne from the inferno of Hell,
    Duel once more,
    As they did before,
    Before the ages of man.

    The two meet again,
    Closely eyeing each other.
    The quiet intensifies,
    And awaits
The first to make his move.

    A snap fills the air,
And at once, the fight is a blur.
    Black claw to bloodied claw,
    Clash and strike fiercely,
The sound of sword upon sword.

    Rage and blinding fury
    Engulf their towering forms.
    Red eye to yellow eye,
    Focused on one intent;
To kill and destroy the other.

    The prize was forgotten,
    The war raged on,
    Roars and screeches,
    Snarls and hisses,
Rip the sky into a million shreds.

    The two monster of Hell,
One slips and the other rushes forward.
    A shrill squeal follows,
    A wild roar echoes,
Then silence reigns the land once more.

    Shrouded in myths and legends,
Emotionless, calculating and the precision of a singularity,
    Unacknowledging of the will of others;
    The climax for all beings...

    In Your Dreams

As the sun falls softly from the sky and the evening becomes the night
I can see her standing in the shadows of the midnight moon lit sky
Her beauty brings the daylight to the night and desert sand into oceans tide
As your mind fades into a world beyond a reality of make believe skies
In a strange land untouched and not seen in anyones opened eyes
You can see her skin without matter with more beauty than morning sunrise

    The Beauty of your dreams
    a dream like no other
    you dream to be
    you dream to be
    her lover

The mind of someones world hidden from life that cant be touched by real time
In an epic universe and time made perfect by the thoughts of our minds
You can feel the texture of reality in it, thats unreal, a created world only you find
As the women of your dreams become the search of reality outside your mind
You realize only she will never leave but hold you in her dreams a lifetime
And a dream world filled with color at times, is just a creation in your mind
When the sun falls softly from the sky and the evening becomes the night
and you see her standing in the shadows of the midnight moon lit sky
Its only a dream, the Beauty of your dreams, a dream like no other
When you dream to be, you dream to be her lover.

    It coughs

Outside, tires strike the street repeatedly,
    it coughs
    the scream of something mechanical
pockets of night air collapse onto themselves,
    a late-night typist
blasts cannons sixty words per minute
a hundred water droplet rockets launch,
    evaporate from the bathroom floor
spiders crunch moth exoskeleton in chorus
those moths remain blow their noses in eulogy
    then night falls mute
    but my blood circulates, torrential,
dust thunders, crashes to the ground
brash bits of moonlight bombard the windowpane
    I shift my ears pillowward
and again the gates are opened.
