    The Lovers

    A beautiful Princess,
    A promising Warrior,
    Fell in love long ago.
    A fairytale romance.

    Illicit affairs held by moonlight.
    Stolen kisses behind the doors.
    Young love, so confident,
    Young lovers so sure.

    Unwittingly discovered,
    The King was told.
    Commanded the Princess,
    The Warrior must die.

    Heartbroken she pleaded,
    Begged to spare the Warrior.
    Threatened her own life,
    But the King held firm.

    Her honour bound her,
    The King must be obeyed.
    He told her the plan,
    Her soul died that day.

    The Warrior was told,
    To meet her secretly.
    At the lovely Waterfall,
    Where they had met.

    He came to her,
    His one true love.
    Saw her weeping,
    Head hung low.

    Concerned, he went to her,
    Not knowing of the plot.
    The soldiers attacked,
    Thrusting with their swords.

    The brave Warrior fought,
    Fearing for the Princess,
    Like a wild animal,
    Set amongst the sheep.

    Uncaring of the blows,
    He slew the assassins,
    Trying to reach the Princess.
    The water ran red.

    The enemy lay dead.
    The Princess wailed.
    The Warrior staggered,
    Wanting to be near.

    He looked at her,
    Horror filled his face.
    The Princess trembled,
    As the pistol fired.

    The Warrior did not fall.
    The Princess begged,
    Asked for his forgiveness.
    The Warrior stepped closer.

    He took her face,
    And bent his head.
    The Princess thanked him,
    Through her tears.

    They kissed one last time,
    As his blood flowed freely.
    He trembled, and he gasped.
His lips grew cold, and numb.

    The Princess helped him,
    As he slowly laid down.
    Her hand lingered,
    Not wanting to let go.

    His eyes grew dim,
    His breathing stopped.
    The Princess finally left.
    Her heart remained.

    Lover’s kiss

    Entwining between our fingertips
Blood as rain - pouring forth
    Lover’s of past lust affairs
    The gaze of hate
    Of love divine
    Gasp beneath the sheets
    Of lives apart
    Wander my loves
    Between the worlds
    The future;
    Is yours.

    Heart To Heart

Her tears fall like silent glitter,
    sparkling in the afternoon sun.
    He takes her oval face
gently in his time worn hands,
    tears mixing with blood.
He places a simple last kiss
    upon her velvet lips.

    He wiped her silent tears,
    with his shaking hands.
Her sorrow leaking from her heart,
his spirit leaking from his soul.
    Each precious scarlette drop,
    holding a thousand deaths;
that her heart will die when he is gone.

    A wound to the head,
    is not his only pain.
A far greater wound to the heart,
at what has to be left behind.
    A feud was fought.
    A debt to be paid.
    The cost... is his life.

    He leaves the world,
his head falling to her blood stained chest.
The waterfall drowning out the roaring in her head,
and the screams of heartbreak from her lips.
She slowly lays down with him in her arms.
Knee to knee, hand in hand, lip to lip,
    Heart to heart.

    Sun Similar (Mk. 2)

From time to time I think
    of when you were mine,
and sun similar I rise but without chariot
    I hit memory’s glass ceiling.

    This roseate zone is pedestalled
    in thought and fractured marble.
Maintained as one would a garden,
I pick choice blooms like day-dreams.

    A cheap meeting
    today allows a vandal
into the heart, creating a crude monument
    and headstone to the past.

    Better loved last than lost,
    Better still be bitten twice!
Sun similar, I fade to night.

    Angel of Death

They say the Angel of Death
    Shows mercy to no one
    But this is not so
    I know different
There was a time he did

I will always remember the day
When my love came back to me
    Bloody from battle
    Wounded so deep
That life was seeping out of him

    The Dark Angel came
Invisible to all around but to us
Granted us time to say good bye
My darling bent his head to me
Cupped my face in his hands

    Gently he brought his lips
Onto to mine and lingered there for a time
In these last moments he was still mine
The Angel stood by our side
    With sorrow in his eyes

My love told me not weep
For our love would never end
    I blinked back the tears
    I was going to shed
    Smiled to my lover instead

Finally the time could no longer be delayed
Death took my beloved from me
When the Angel took his soul
    Only his body remained
    I mourned my lost love

The sound of the cascading water
Drowned the ringing in my head
    Soothed my deep soul-wrenching cries
Looking up to the glorious waterfall
    I thanked the dark Angel

My heart will forever be grateful
    For the time granted
    To kiss my lover farewell
    For the understanding and sorrow
    Death profoundly displayed

    Till the end of time
    I will be thankful
    For the mercy
    This Dark Angel
    Generously bestowed

    Living in Verses

    You and I
    could be in poems
    and let poets' hearts
    bleed for us,
    in verses of
    heartbreak and dreams
    and secret hopes
    of eternal love.

    Some would dwell
    on the whys and hows,
    some sing of death
    and our last goodbye.
    But they'd never see
    how tears broke the sun
    into seven lights
    in a maiden's eyes.

    That I forgot
    how wounds could sting,
    how the grass turned red
    when I passed them by.
    The red I remember was
    your cheek where I touched
    and your lips I kissed
    for the one last time.

    Will rhythm and metre
    measure our kiss?
    Will they know the depth
    of breaths entwined?
    Soon all we'll be
    is a poet's dream
    living in words-
    you and I.

    Liquid of Cultured Murder

    The shatter of silence,
from the flood of broken emotion.
Two hearts love that shall shine
    through an everlasting night
    of eternal suffrage and despair.
    A love that shall never falter;
    nor be extinguished from the
    elongated pungency of war.

The eloquent light of a love,
    between two souls so distraught.
    Torn apart by a vengeance,
    so hollowed and callous;
    from those thicker than water,
    yet thinner than blood.

    Two souls with an ardent stare;
    binding them unto each other,
for all eternity to be as one.
    Yet tragically ripped away,
    from true loves grasp again,
    by the vengeful hand;
y the tainted, blood stained hand,
of wars heinous and unrest ways.

    Crimson Tears

    O' sweet victory, why
    must you be bittersweet?

    To win was to lose.

    A lover's last embrace,
    softened by love's first kiss.

    O' Death why not me?
    Take this suffering heart!

    Erase these memories of ribbon's red;
    the soulless eyes invading me.

    Fade me... drown me,
    in these crimson tears.

    O' sweet victory, why
    must you be bittersweet?

    Physics Declare It, Sir

And for a wise man once said:
"All is fair in love and war"
Alas, the mixing of the two,
    Created a fierce concoction:
    (A equal but oppostice reaction)
    For every action, leaves us
    Abandonned in the cold, abandonned
    In the aftermath.

    (eight lines ;))
