I just had oven food just now; I mixed oven chips with sweet potato fries just now; Am glad I did, that was good. Nice after feeling too. The Iceland supermarket home brand of sweet potato fries even though Iceland is a budget/economical brand, were more filling than the brand name McCain potato oven chips, which seemed more processed than the Iceland product, for a change.
Pork burgers, I have some mince that needs eating and it's one of the bf's favourite foods. He cannot make his mind between that and my toad in the hole. Mine will likely have rocket and mozzarella, he likes his with gherkin and lettuce.
I wondered where I've heard that before. It's this pub in Soho that does open mic night. Acoustic only I think.
I'm off duty. Korean chicken & home-made coleslaw. Quite flash. Also, made a CV today and fired it to an agency, and included writing as a skill, the entire paragraph drafted in italics TR16. Probably they'll want me to do all their writing. Three weeks at home with Submittable and Twitter was hurting my 'ass.' So many posts to politicians, nng.
I can't claim any kudos points for this, but have just had a delicious home-made chicken and bacon pie with brussels sprouts followed by home-made tiramisu. Cooked by my dear ol' mum... who is 95 in two months' time... and is virtually blind! (she had trouble cutting a potato once, and pushed harder and harder until she realised that it was an egg! She picked up a crumb to put in the bin and realised, painfully, that it was a wasp... etc. etc. I think the worst one was when I put a jar of chopped chillies next to the jam in the fridge - yeah she chose the chillies and spread them on her brioche )
Chicken Korma tonight - well, sort of Korma. Korma doesn't usually have brocolli or leeks in it, but when the supermarket is selling whole heads of broccoli for 15p and three leeks for 25p, then it does. Also made a potato and leek soup for tomorrow (see above about the price of leeks and add a bag of potatoes that were on the verge of establishing their own constitution so needed eating...)
Milk & Cookies... (One of them days)/don't feel like cooking. Full fat lactose milk from the milkman. & So, needlessly expensive milk and cheap cookies.
