Just finished watching The Green Mile. I don't think I've ever cried that hard over a movie ending. I really want to read the book now.

I'm making up horrible, nerdy pick up lines for assorted reasons.

I'm currently writing and researching for this story I'm attempting. I'm also screwing around on this forum.

    Chilling!

Though shown an improvement of sales for Black Friday I still think this has been the most calm day since i started working here.

I've spent all days doing research about car seats!

We've barely had any calls and the co-worker I can't stand seems to have decided to work all evening (or weekend?). She's not here yet and I've got less than an hour until freedom!

I wish everyday was like this :)

Been doing 2 rides per day for about a week with new ALCAR...no adverse reactions...huzzah!
However, me fish oil caps also expire next month so that also may have contributed. They're binned and buying a new batch ssson.

Then the alien green soup I recently added to my smoothies might also have been a culprit, they turn brown even by the 2nd day. Did some research and I now dice a shitload up and slosh 'em around in some lemon juice and freeze 'em. No more infestations.

Me suspension seatpost and uber padded touring seat are to die for.
No more sore ass, thus no more energy allocated to damage control during and after rides.

I get it, the market is geared towards folks building the lightest thus fastest rides, therefore comfort can just go piss off. But I have no need of the lightest ride nor of setting any time records. My hardtail will mostly do road work, at least for the 1st 6 months, so I'm modding to suit.

Been watching stacks of YT vids regarding mtb geometry and cockpit setups, but they too are geared towards folks having the lightest and most efficient dirt riding bikes...apparently the community thinks everyone wants to set the fastest times.

There is one YTer I like, Sickbiker (channel). He had some intelligent advice...
"Think for yourself, don't follow trends. Base your choices on your body measurements and riding preferences."

    So current specs:
    - saddle as far back as possible.
    - bars 720mm: 30-35 rise x 5 degrees up & 7 degree sweep
    - bar stem 75mm x 10-20 degree up angle.

    Upgrading to:
bar stem 120mm x no less than 20 degree up angle
    Bars 785mm: 60mm rise x 4 degrees up & 9 degrees sweep

    - Cutting bars down to 700 (for starters), the wider the bar the more the wrists angle. Goal is is straight wrists.
    - Goal is balanced or 60\40 weight distribution of ass and hands. Don't give a shit about extra wind resistence by sitting more upright.
    - With that setup, seat can come forward more if too far away, and I have 20mm of spacers to play with on the stem if the bars are too high.

Tested all this today and yesterday by placing hands in future positions.
Interesting how even 10mm off grip position( each side) makes a huge difference in feel.

So many vids talk about bar width, how some DHers are running 800mm, yet back in the day, when suspension mtb took off big time, DHers were running 660mm and didn't die or feel embarrassed.

Mein himmel, cost of accessories and mods is getting closer to half the cost of the bike.
But I'm way healthier, bod and mind, so the cost is well worth it.

Speaking of rides, having fun times in RDR 1.

After many hours of gameplay, I stumbled upon how to properly use the Dead Eye feature, thus this morning went on a killing spree and shot everything in sight, the locals were not too happy with me.

But back to being a good bloke who's working on redeeming himself after I rebooted.
And in that mode, I find it interesting I don't want to shoot any horses, even the wild ones.

Though still going to experiment and load up on ammo, medicine and food supplies, climb a windmill and go postal, especially when I procure a sniper rifle.

Also going to shove a carriage on a traintrack and see if any carnage transpires.
Can't take control of a train, people just freak out if you kill the driver.

I spend half of my time on a carriage, just slowly wandering around visiting sites and going off track...exploring...then balance that out by doing 48hrs of hunting, maxing out various animals and collecting a few grand for my efforts so I can blow it all on gambling.

Still can't defeat those nasty cougars with a knife (don't tell me, I want to work it out for myself)
I'm at that skill level where you have to shoot the hats off two people.
Haven't mastered that yet, still doing accidental headshots.
So embarrassing, I even find myself apologising to the victims.
