Yeah, this who situation sounds crazy - thankfully it's not that bad here yet. Personally I should be okay, but I hate to think of all those other poor bastards that have now been laid off. A guy I know has had to shut down his small business because he can't get a load to keep things going for a few months at least in name and to cover his expenses. COVID sucks balls, but how some people are reacting to it makes things so much worse.

Watching an episode of Wheeler Dealers - a show about two guys who buy up old cars and restore them. They've chosen to show the episode which features an old Land Rover Series IIA that gets an apocalypse/survival bug-out makeover. Coincidence?

Not immediately, then? It seems to be alarmingly fashionable these days.

Making myself another wallet. I decided to go for the 'rough out' look (as I think it's known in the trade). Desperate times call for desperate measures and the leather I've used here was cut from the bottom of a panel flap on the back of my sofa (which is most hidden from view anyway). It's loosely based on the Atelier Pall Double Snap Wallet.

This working from home business has seriously cut my motivation in half. I would be so late today if I weren't just going into the living room.

Growing a beard. For the first time in my life. Unlike my father, who had a 5 o'clock shadow, I don't have a thick or especially fast-growing one. Worse now that it's all gray, so it doesn't show up as much as my reddish-brown mustache used to. But I'm getting there, moving past the "forgot to shave this morning" look. And this seems the best time to do it, something to kill time. Though it's not as absorbing a project as I thought it would be.

Edging it helps it look neater and more beardlike even when it's short. Shave from the t-shirt line up to the lower edge of your jawline and it'll look good.

This guy needs to shave again but you can get the idea

Losing my mind trying to speed run set up electron microscopes for the COVID-19 labs, and complete a finals portfolio week for school. Putting in like ten to twelve hour work days only to go home to 4 to 5 hours of homework. Blegh.

I just did that, not because I saw it recommended, but because it was making my neck itch. Anoother case of doing the right thing for the wrong reason.

I uh... I'm gnawing on some stale Italian bread because I didn't want to just eat peanut butter m&ms for breakfast.

Hope your days mellow out soon, Mingo!

Update: I hugged the dog for a few minutes because even though I'm highly allergic to her, I must. And now my whole face itches. Why must what I love make me so itchy? I just want to hold dogs.

See, I'm doing the opposite. Regular beard is already established in all its luxurious glory, but now I'm filling in all the spots I used to shave. This thing will range from my eyeballs to my collar by the time I return to work!

Having a snack. Leftover MOD pizza. Fairly yum. Watching the stock market for selfish reasons. I have money in it. Warren Buffet is God. Or maybe not. He's certainly old enough.

Think I'd rather watch seal-clubbing videos at this point.

What I'm doing is wondering why the three occupants of the house opposite have just spent the last five minutes stood on their garden path, in their dressing gowns, clapping continuously.

Is it all over or something? Is that all I get - a measly 5 days off work??

Had to go and pick up my pedal at the post office, but
I have it set up now, and it is a little weird but I think
I will sort that odd bit out with some experimenting. :)

Fools to speak of such luxuries in the face of the hungry. Your paths end here. The grave has you already. All howling voids and horrors beyond. Abandon all hope.
