I am as well. Went shopping for one last week, and now I just need to track down a solid electrician now that my solar is on and back patio cover is installed. Finally, relaxation is on its way. Except the delivery date is gonna be fucking out there because of COVID's bitch ass...

    Sorry, little irritations.

I'm waiting for parts at the customer location...which means I'm losing my mind screwing around on here as their happy delivery dude takes ten years talking to everyone along the route in the multi-building complex holding my part in a magical location. I know full well that if I go looking for them, they will disappear into Narnia and my parts won't come for three more hours...I also know that if I get frustrated and go to lunch, they will appear at the room the instant I start my car...

Making coffee in preparation for a viewing of Jim Jarmusch's Permanent Vacation. I can't get enough of this guy's films at the moment.

Waiting for Adobe Bridge to install.

Tried last night to install a Microsoft-affiliated app to clean out my redundant photos, but it wouldn't let me, my Microsoft account says my laptop isn't connected. Wasted hours then and again today struggling to get the laptop on the account, but the instructions were circular and useless.

I'm cheap, so I'm going with the Adobe app, which supposedly will organize everything I've got on the machine. It's free--- but apparently it takes up to an hour and a half to install. And here I am on my Admin account and my novel text is over on the personal account and I can't log out and work on it.

    Crumb.

EDIT-- Hooray, pulled it off of Dropbox! Of course this means saving this version under another filename, but now I can get some writing in before time to go to work!

Just finished watching episode 2 of True Detective. This series has somehow slipped my attention.

The Far from any road sound track is absolutely gorgeous. Especially the last verse. Beautiful.

Trying to decide (not that I have the money now anyway) if color vision is worth $300. Or $750 if it comes with the corrections for the rest of what I identify as "eyes."

Anybody with first- or secondhand experience with EnChroma glasses? Just asking as a random wonder.

Are those like the x-ray glasses they used to advertise on the back pages of comic books? They don't work.

I'm back since Saturday and today, after a friend of mine went away (he stayed at my place last night) I'm at last all alone. I can't stop playing a tune I just learned on guitar. ("March to the Sea" by Baroness). What a chorus! I realised just how much I missed playing guitar. Soulfood. :D

I sent the link to a friend that also plays awesome guitar and has drums too and I hope we'll get to play it together at some point. Perhaps live, although I doubt it. Not his style exactly. I'm curious now...

I'm not even in a band anymore. It's a lot of work (anger management mostly). I just like to play from time to time, alone or with friends. If something clicks we might play a song or two live, but it's been ages since I gave it a go.

"Anger Management, Mostly" should be the name of your first album.

Or maybe the band name, with the album title being "I'm Not Even in a Band Anymore."

    Yeah, go with that one.

I thought id get a jump on "Huluween". I listened to a youtube video last night about a haunted irish castle and the incidents over the years involving it, and it put me in the mood for horror.

Wouldnt you believe it, i cant find a single thing on the currated list thats interating to me. I dont want a horror comedy. I dont want "splatter-day". Not in the mood for aliens or anime Honestly, i dont want to watch a movie either.
I started The Strain, and this irish zombie series called Flesh (or something like that) about what happened to the people who were infected during a zombie outbreak but didnt fully turn.

And now here i am.... Rewatching X-Files for the zillionth time.

Any suggestions for a good horror/thriller/crime/paranormal/drama series?

Did you ever watch Millennium with Lance Henrikson? It was billed as a sort of spiritual X-Files. Of course, per the title, it was about what might happen when the clock turned 2000, so some of the references may be a bit dated :)

That was a bizarre film. Dad had me watch it some time ago. Not bad if I remember right.

It was a series. There was a movie of the same title with Kris Kristofferson and Cheryl Ladd (and those were faded names even then) that came out in 1989, based on a book by John Varley. Movie was pretty much crap, I wouldn't waste too much time looking for it.

I recall the TV series fondly, but it's been over twenty long years so it might not hold up so well.

Looking at my watch list, I realized i didnt finish Season 2 of Mindhunters.

I like the whole Mulder/Scully (work)dynamic between Bill and Holden. Reformed militant Skeptic vs believer with unconventional methods

This may occupy me for the day
