I haven't lived in too many states... Both of the Carolinas, Texas, and Kansas. KS is by far the greenest! (And I developed allergies here lol) And it's the worst place in the world to be a Democrat! haha Fortunately I've taken shelter in the one city where a liberal can be a liberal and not be burned at the stake for it.
I'm a Californian (the only one here?) I lived in Argentina for 7 years, and the last 6 years I've lived in Cali. I already bought the plane tickets, on Feb 5th I'm going back to Arg :] (and staying there)
Interesting thread I live and have lived for my whole life in Bosnia and Herzegovina (south-eastern Europe). I have tendency to feel proud of it and sometimes I just wish I was born somewhere else. Depends to whom I'm talking too Though in reality it's not that bad. It could've been worse, and one day things will get better. Hopefully before I my grandchildren get old.
what do you mean by 'from'?... where we were born, or where we currently live? i was born in the usa... i now live in the northern marianas, on the island of tinian...
Somehow I knew you were from New York. Sucks though, you seem like you'd be a cool dude to hang out with.
I'm from Essex in England. We have the, uh, "Pitbull Terrior" and the "Fake Tan" and the "Kebab Shop". Verrrrreh niiiice.
Essex, sounds a lot like Northern Ireland in general, hah. Nothing beats a big dirty kebab after a night out on the lash, laughing at all the tango'd women around
I live in USA in Kentucky. Never lived in any other countries nor visited there. My mother was planning on a trip to Jamaica, but I guess she cancelled it.
Currently in Missouri. Born in South Carolina Short time in Hawaii Kindergarten in Holland A few years in Georgia A couple years in Colorado Then the bulk of my years in California Now Missouri...
Born in New York City Massachusetts Ontario, Canada Maryland Virginia (current) I hope to go to New York City for college (i'll be applying next fall), and after that I'd like to live abroad, maybe France or Italy.
Born in Ocean City, New Jersey. Moved to god knows where in Indiana, Moved back to Ocean City, New Jersey. Currently live in Pennsylvania, US.
Born in Washington State. Moved to Iowa for a while. Now I live in a tiny town, in the butt-crack of northernmost California, 20 minutes from the Oregon border. Looking forward to going to uni/civilization sometime soon. The Redwoods are nice though.
I own a Pitbull as a pet! Never knew the breed originated from Essex. I assumed since they are called "Staffordshire" Terriers, they came form somewhere named Staffordshire
I'm originally from the Andes, been in in this unfortunate city of new york forever; have hopes of returning one day to my own sheep farm or something of the sort.
Lolol, I assumed that too. We have Pitbulls and Staffies here, but unfortunately they come with a bad stigma to some people. [Essex in general has many a stigma ] All the bad guys seem to go around with them, so naturally they're known as "bad dogs". However, a lot of people keep them where I come from as family pets, so go figure, lol. My housemate has a Staffordshire Terrier and she looks adorable. A friend from home had one as well, and she was really cute and playful. I know some dogs have been brought up badly and end up snapping, but I think it's awful that the poor things have to be put in a bad light.
Born in Wollongong (Illawarra region) of New South Wales, Australia. (Hour south of Sydney) Still here. Why leave a piece of paradise.
I passed through Wollongong on the way back from a trip to Jervis Bay when I was in Oz in 2009. It's a lovely stretch of coastline. I can understand why you wouldn't want to leave. I'm in Glasgow, Scotland.
I've been in NYC for a day, once. Very crowded, very fast. I'm not a big fan of cities. I like suburban areas, meself. (And I like Pennsylvania more, really. But that's 'cause I've only been to that state when I was up explorin' American history that Spring Break. I'll have to make a note to visit Boston one day. Preferably in the summer when its warm.) And don't you say that 'round these parts, mate. I'll let it slide because I like you, but some folks I know may not take it as kindly.
I'm also from the USA I'm on the lovely west coast which is definately what I call home even though I wasn't born here
I love Wollongong, don't live there, but would definately move there if the opportunity came up. Everyone knows it never stops raining in Melbourne Would be nice if we could turn off the rain in Brissy though
Pennsylvania. More specifically, central Pennsylvania. Right in the centre of it all, as it were -- smack on the borderline between the boondocks and "culture". The twenty-thousand square-foot "houses" of the affluent are separated from the decrepit little shacks of deliverance-esque hicks by, literally, one small branch of the Appalachian mountains. I do sometimes wonder if any of those aforementioned affluent -- perhaps when enjoying their morning cup of coffee, gaze no doubt spent in absentminded study of that very mountain range -- pause to consider the fact that no more than forty-five minutes drive from where they live, such intriguing occurrences as sister-brother marriages are ongoing. Not that much of any real interest actually happens in PA these days. I've traveled to quite a few places, and must say that I highly doubt I'll end up living here for much longer; it does get old rather quickly, and the entire area seems to suck anyone of their energy or desire to do or be anything. I suppose one might say that I'm an expatriate still stuck in his own country. I have the mindset, just not the new home... At least here's better than Garden City, which I must say, is nothing short of being my own personal hell on earth. Whoever thought wedging a gigantic suburb onto one corner of an island that just so happened to be blocked on all readily accessible sides by one of the largest cities in America... well, they were a fool. I guess it's a nice place, if you don't mind driving for nearly an hour to reach anywhere that doesn't feel claustrophobic.
