    Robotic Voice due to Lag

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by Arman Bolouri, Oct 8, 2019.

Hey, how would you guys describe a voice that's been distorted through voice communication latency? I want to emphasize my character's distance from the main plot setting.

For an analog signal, it'd end up sounding like static. A good example is putting on an FM radio in the country and dipping down into a valley. For a digital signal, it's end up just cutting in and out.

I would have a small segment of the broadcast come on strong with a few low level blips and fade to nothing.... and repeat.
