Me too, but two nights ago my ladyfriend started snoring up a storm and the melatonin was sort of nullified. I got a horrible sleep as a result. I'm bringing earplugs to her house whenever I go over now.
Reminds me of one of the old Goon Show episodes: "Are you going to come quietly, or do I have to wear earplugs?"
Today is the first day for me to take it. So I'll be coming off Respiridone and going on Olanzapine starting tonight. So I have no idea how it is going to effect me.
I used to have a lot of trouble falling asleep. I'd just lie in my bed and stare at the ceiling for thirty minutes or more before I could drift off. I think a big part of my problem was that I used my bed for other activities -- screwing around on my laptop, writing in my journal, various sewing or (non-messy) craft projects, reading, etc. What can I say? I like my bed. It's a good place to be. But, after reading a bit on the subject, I stopped doing that. All non-sleep or non-sex activity was relocated to other parts of my domicile. And it's definitely helped, I think. When I lie down in my bed, my brain knows that it's time for sleep (or sex, but that's not really a thing that happens to me these days). I don't have anywhere near the trouble that I used to have.
