so i am writing a book since july and i would say it is definitly a crime thriller but also very psychological ..hmm what do you think?
Ok. So what is the setting; Urban, Rural, Sci-fi, etc.? I think a thriller should play on the readers mind keeping them guessing what will happen next. That is why I like Horror, as it keeps you on the edge of your seat (so to speak). Anyway, that's awesome that your WIP is a Thriller/Psychological.
Welcome to the site! I think that's a little too general for us to say anything about, but good luck Do you have any favorite psychological crime thriller authors? Mine is Karin Slaughter, my closest second favorites are Tess Gerritsen and Patricia Cornwell, but I don't know if their books are easy to find in Germany
Remember that a crime and a thriller are practically the opposite. In a crime novel, the crime has already happened and they're trying to figure out whodunit. In a thriller they're trying to prevent the crime in the first place whether they know who it is or not. That being said, a crime/thriller would encompass a bit of both. There is a crime, they may or may not know whodunit (obviously can't prove it till the end), but are also trying to prevent another from happening. Er, hope it makes sense. Does in my head anyway. Psychologically speaking, it's a mystery
I think you identified the genre. Good start! Now tell us the logline. Tell us the Blurb Give us the synopsis. Show us the summary. Do you have the outline yet? How about the beat sheet?? Rough draft nr 1 ???
