    What Time Do You Sleep?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Nilfiry, Aug 15, 2008.

Looking at the posting times, there seems to be many people staying up until the next morning. What's everyone's normal time for hitting the hay?

I usually go to bed between eleven and twelve since I won't be able to sleep until I've laid for about an hour.

I try to go to bed around 10 or 11, but it doesn't really ever work out. I lay awake for hours and finally doze off around 4 or 5 and I'm up when the sun rises. The last few weeks, this has gotten worse and I don't fall asleep at all.

lol - I was going to say the same thing. I often have bouts of insomnia, so you'll find me on here at random times. Right now, it's 12:30pm, but I've been on here at 5am more than once...

I never used to sleep actually. WHen I first joined I was lucky to get an hour a week. Over the last few months I have been able to go to sleep anywehere between 6pm and 7am. Ususally I am in bed around 9 - 2 now though. But normally it will be around 4-5 am that I finally get to sleep for an hopur or two before my kids wake up.

I used to have problems sleeping, then things got better and I was in bed by 11:00...now, I am afraid the pattern is repeating itself. God help me...ugh...it could be 2 am or better.

If even Cogito's being serious... :p

Force myself by 4:30 most nights. Usually 2:30 or 3. Get up at 7 like clockwork. Unfortunately there are nights where I just sit there wondering why I can't fall asleep. Like last night. It was fun.

Over the summer, when I was working sixty hours a week, I got pretty good about getting to bed before 11pm.

Now that I'm back home, though, I'm back to going to bed in the wee hours of the morning.

It depends night to night.... on average I'd say 12:30 to get up at 9, which isn't bad if you assume I actually fall asleep at 12:30. Not the case. It usually takes me about two, sometimes three, hours to fall asleep. -_-'

Sleep? Bah, I don't believe in such fairy tales!

Seriously, I sleep between 4:00 a.m and 8:00 a.m. unless I have a project due then I replace sleep with enough coffee to kill a horse.

I go to bed anywhere between 11:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. Kinda depends on if I'm approaching a deadline on any of my writing. If so, I stay up into the early hours to get some work done. I only get to write while my two toddlers are sleeping, so I've gotta make that time count.

Also, if I can't sleep at night, I might be found hanging out around here or at other forums.

Apparently, many of the late-nighters just have trouble sleeping. I admit, I do too: whenever I go to sleep, I always wake up a few times before I should.

If I don't work the next morning (of have anything to do) I'll stay up until 3:00 usually, but if I have somewhere to be, I'll usually head to bed at around 10:30.
Even then, I suffer from insomnia occasionally..

Reminds me of my cousin. I was up extra late because I didn't have to get up (normally when I do, I try to at least start trying to sleep at 11:00). He was in bed at around 2:00 and had to get up at 6:00.

Because it's the summer I usually get to sleep at about 3 in the morning. I try not to stay up so late but sometimes reruns of How I Met Your Mother come on and I love that show. I really want to know how he met their mother though!
