What to send with my query.

Discussion in 'Query & Cover Letter Critique' started by mrieder79, Apr 3, 2016.

Is it customary to simply send the query, or is it understood that one should send a synopsis or first paragraph along with it?

Different agents/publishers have different expectations. You really do have to look each one up individually. (And for extra fun, some of them want a two-page synopsis, some three, some five...)

By the title I was thinking bribes and was going to suggest cupcakes - ;)
    Is this for an agent?

LOL. If cupcakes will help, I'm in. Yes, this is for an agent.

They really love it when you put a lot of glitter in the envelope along with your query letter.
