Huberguff~ A large hat worn by Sumarian women during cirtain religious ceremonies. The size of the hat is directly related to the social status of the woman. Hats large enough to hold small caged animals are known from archeological sites. These hats would have been worn by women of the highest social standing.

Please note that men also wore these hats at times. It appears that if the woman's social status was great enough, she would have her spouse wear the hat for her in order to free her for the ceremonies. The husband would maintain a three pace distance behind his wife. Men in these tribes had little social standing.
