So you're saying my daily horror scopes fall under this category as well?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo It's still fun to read though.
PERSONALITY: INTJ ("THE ARCHITECT") VARIANT: TURBULENT ROLE: ANALYST http://www.16personalities.com/intj-personality It's the same as a test I did almost 20 years ago, although they're rather small percentages now.
Over time you learn to integrate your shadow functions, assuming capacity to learn and sufficient empathy. I have found the same with my INTJness, it is significantly "mellowed" from when I was younger.
TWAT PERSONALITY (“A BIT OF A TIT”) TWAT personalities are truly irritating, always finding ways to aggravate those around them. While they may be perceived as misunderstood, TWATs are in fact monumentally obnoxious. Comprising just Chinspinner, they bring discord and discontent wherever they go.
Actually, job agencies do this for their clients. Also, I find some of their statements quite funny. 4% of the population, when 100/16=6.25%, isn't a rare group.
I always think of rarity and percentiles in terms of "1 in n". It makes the significance of the numbers more apparent. For example, it may seem like there is a tiny difference between "99.89th percentile" and "99.98th percentile", but it becomes apparent that there is actually a very significant difference when they are expressed like this: 99.89th %ile = top 0.11% = top 0.11 in 100 = top 1 in 909 99.98th %ile = top 0.02% = top .02 in 100 = top 1 in 5,000 However, in the case of MBTI rarity: 4% = 4 in 100 = 1 in 25 6.25% = 6.25 in 100 = 1 in 16 you are right that there is hardly enough of a difference to call 4% "rare".
It said 16% of the population is my type, though I'm the only one on this thread so far. I always knew I was common.
I'm an INTJ, also referred to as "The Architect" or "The Strategist". I think it's pretty funny that the description is simular to what I am like, but there are somethings that are not quite accurate. Because even though I'm introverted, I can talk a lot. But only sometimes. Still, I really like the MBTI, since it's the best version of personality test I've encountered up until now.
It does, actually. 'cause introverts only talk if they feel like they have something to say or if the partner in conversation is considered worthy. And of cause, it depends on the mood your in, but that is alike to whatever type you are.
If an introvert has a lot to say and someone to say it to, that makes them an introvert with a lot to say and someone to say it to. It does not make them an extravert. So no, how much you talk has nothing to do with introversion or extraversion.
Absolutely. It's also possible to be a shy extravert. intro/extra simply denotes where your energy is derived: either externally -- other people, noise, colour, etc -- or internally -- your head mostly, through thinking, reading books, D&Ms with a single person, etc.
Thank you. lol This is exactly what I was going to say. Extroverts get their energy from excitement and movement. They love to be around people and feel drained being alone for long periods of time. Introverts are the opposite. They get their energy from being alone -- reading, taking walks, etc -- and are drained by being around too many people. Intro/extroversion have nothing to do with talking. That's just whether you're shy or not, which is not the same. I'm very talkative, even to strangers, but I'm an introvert. Because after a while of being around people, I have to go home and rest and recharge.
I can talk till the cows come home and my brain is always ON, doing free association and linking things and jumping from topic to topic. I can be the life of the party too. But after 120 minutes at that noisy, vibrant party, my socialising energy is gone and I need a time out.
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. I GOT THE SAME PERSONALITY AS TOLKIEN. This actually made my day! Very interesting to consider that Tolkien (who inspired me to write) and I share the result of this test. Also, INFP's are apparently 4% of the population, and 50% percent of this forum! Fascinating.
INTP the Logician Variant: Turbulent Role: Analyst Strategy: Constant Improvement Not really surprised, but I have this vague feeling that if I took this test before, I was another type of introvert... oh well. I guess that that's what taking a backseat to "counseling" people does to me. At least I'm always intuitive...
