It is true that I have too many flaws. It is also true that being born into sin by sin itself throws me to fend for myself in regards to finding peace.

I'm too awkward. Unfit for the world because of my childlike mannerisms and my inability to learn and adapt quickly. Too quiet and nervous like a child as well.

To be frank, thinking quite plenty is my redeeming quality. It toys with me at times but it stops me from recklessness.

    That's all I got.

I must be on a self-hate/self-doubt binge cos this is actually surprisingly hard!

Idk, I guess I'm nice. Like if I turned into a serial killer, I'd probably be the nicest serial killer ever. You wouldn't really mind dying by my hand. You'd be at Heaven's gates and Peter's like "What happened? Why are you here already?", and you'd go "Oh you know, I was murdered - which was nice."

I've had similar experiences, and I do seem to have a larger databank of knowledge than most family and friends, but like you, I 'm also aware I don't know everything, and though my knowledge is wide-spread, I consider I know very little when compared to what there is to know.

Due to also angering or annoying some folks when I share info, I'm interested, have you asked your wife, or do you ask your wife within each incident what exactly is she angered about when you offer info? And if so, what were her reasons, if you don't mind sharing. (here or PM)

    I don't mind sharing.

For my wife specifically she just wants to share small problems, but she blows them up so they stand out more, and she can express the problem. She doesn't want the problems "solved", she just wants to externalize her stress, because it helps her let off steam and lets us share and grow as parents spouses etc...

With other people I realized I can jump WAY ahead too far in interactions if I answer all the questions or topics or assert all that I think right away. So, I make a point to shush myself and let the conversation develop, and let people to take their turns talking and growing the topic, even if I know "All the things"

It's like if you're playing chess with someone, and they say. "Hey, we all know how this is going to go. Want to skip the first ten moves and get to the midgame?" Doing that might work for some people, but for most people some of the magic of the game is lost.

I learned to appreciate moving all the pawns as much as the rooks.

@ zoupskim I like the synchro as I had to learn the exact same things. I enjoy helping folks, just had to develop my emotional intelligence to know when and how to for each situation...and how, as you said, sometimes folks just need a silent hug or someone to hear them vent, for that's all the therapy they need at that time.

Wanting to help, to be of service to others requires wisdom in knowing what they require and how to provide it. I think I'm just starting to get the hang of it.

I'm posting twice in here, which means I have more than one redeeming feature. Shit. I failed at sole-redeeming-posting.

Anyway, being open about ones dickish ways is a redeeming feature. Oddly, most don't believe me until they experience it firsthand. :p
