What's your view on things like 'cybernetics suck your soul'?

Going to take things a bit out of the box on this one...
Have you considered looking into how the Druhkari
(Dark Eldar) work? They literally have a Chaos god
feeding on their souls all the time, and they have loads
of fancy tech and augmentations.

As for what you ask of any kind of story that uses tech
that feeds on the soul, well no. Closest thing I think of
off hand is Deus Ex, where augmented people think
poorly of the natural not augmented people is some
fashion or another. Then there might be something in
the religious fiction, about the devil getting your soul if
you accept a chip/mech enhancement/etc.

Once the augmentations make huge changes or erase the
original person, then that would be the closest your going
to get without having to look into more fantastical elements
to explain why cyber people don't have souls.
