    Constructive Criticism

    Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Welsh_Biatch, Jan 24, 2010.

    Where can you get constructive criticism about your unfinished work? I'm not saying I'm good not remotely but I would like to know if I have potential, it would be gratifying to know if I actually have a skill. I attempted to post on here but I don't have enough credit (whatever that means)

    Thanks =)

    You don't "get" constructive critique. You take part in a critiquing workshop, the Review Room. There you learn how to give, and then how to receive and apply, constructive critique.

    To augment what Cogito has already posted.

    Think of it this way...

    You want good, well thought, constructive review of your work.

    How do you create an environment where this goal is fostered?

    You make the emphasis on the giving instead of the getting. When you have everyone give first, then you have a surplus of give. When you have a surplus of give, then there is get for everyone and some to spare. When you make giving the goal, then getting is the natural end product.

    It does not work in reverse.
