    Writing my first novel

Discussion in 'Progress Journals' started by Stephan, Mar 9, 2017.

Hi. I wanted to write my first novel but after a lot of thinking I decided it would be more appropriate to start with a few short stories. A little bit like "Night Shift" from Stephen King. This way, I think it will motivate a lot more than to have to write 300 or 400 pages.

I have a few novel ideas but the first one that came to my mind is an horror genre. I like it when the story is plausible even if it's an horror story.

I am going to start reading the book from James Scott Bell before starting to write.

This is one of the books I recommend for people wanting to learn about plot; it will serve you well.

    Good luck.

Thanks OJB. I just started reading a few pages. I will have to do this every day if I dont want to loose my motivation.
