No, no, no. If you look the term "Crazy Ivan" is actually a move for AMERICAN submarines who are fighting RUSSIAN ones. Oh, snap. >=D Outdebated! Just for good measure: http://objection.mrdictionary.net/go.php?n=2086479 OBJECTION!
Lol.. Anyway. Dusechka - I picked this because: darling: the Russian word is Dushechka, a diminutive made from Dusha, which means "darling" or "dear"; Poggioli notes that the -echka ending implies "an insinuation of pettiness and a nuance of indulgent scorn." And I happen to love me my Russian words. : ) And you know, I JUST realized I registered it wrong. o.0
'maia' is actually my name and it's a greek word that means: great mother little mother midwife witch all of which apply to me in one way or another... and i'm a mom of 7, gramma of 18 [at last count, w/ one trying for 2nd, which'll make 19, if she's successful], so the 'mamma' seems to fit nicely... plus, it's a nice play on the common italian [i'm sicilian/italian] expletive, 'mamma mia!'...
I call myself The reaper simply because I loved the terry pratchet books and liked the grim reaper especially hog farther.
haha, that series, the hogfather they had on sky one ( I saw it around Christmas time) was really good.
yes it was I even bought the dvd. I love reading pratchet books they have an unusual humour that works. No need to use capitals crazy ivan it makes you look like your shouting at me. But sorry for the misspell my bad.
Ban, you're nuts But don't let that stop you... so long as I get Mars once you've conquered it. I chose mine coz I'm in St John Ambulance ~MedicMan~
So long as I can have Pluto and that little area of the world that is covered in ice and the deserts and and and like all the uninhabited areas of the universe so then i can not have to worry about taking care of peoples....sounds good to me!
Late to the party, only just found out about it. Name LionofPerth, it's a translation of my name, and which city in Australia I live in.
Back to topic. Domoviye is the name of a Russian, Northern European house spirit, who helps around the house, as long as the people follow certain rules. I grabbed it about 10 years, when I needed an e-mail name. It was either that or several dozen names of other mythical creatures, I couldn't pronounce, much less spell. Since its not used by most other people, I just kept using it.
Sayso was a name given to me by my older sister when we were young and she couldn't say my real name. I'm also known as Cornish Maid elsewhere because I'm Cornish and proud of it, and because I'm a maid (though a somewhat older maid than most people think).
My name is Edward because it's my middle name (I'm starting to get tired of Doug and Douglas). It's Anglo-Saxon for "Defender" (Douglas is Gaelic for Dark Water and comes from the term Dubh Glas) I chose it because I don't like names that couldn't pass for a real name. I also use the name Shuyin, which I had been under the mistaken assumption that it meant "Dragon" in Japanese, though the word I was thinking of was probably Shoryu, but that's highly overused by anime nerds. Now I realize Shuyin got mixed up in my brain and is from Final Fantasy X-2. Still a cool name though, so I'm not gonna go out and change my email accounts just yet. And there's also Aspel. I made it up for a story a long time ago, by taking the last letter off of "Aspen" (as in Colorado) from a bottle of "Aspen Air" (Cheap Fabreeze) and replacing it with an "l". I used Edward because "ShuyinAspel" (Shuyin being used as a title, as in Sir or Mister) just doesn't sound... professional. Which is why I should change my email. Long ago, when I was less intelligent I used some embarrassing names, that I don't mind sharing: Spoiler Puck KeybladeMaster (god, I seriously hate when people use fictional characters in their name on purpose. We get it, you're a fan of Kingdom Hearts, but you're not a keyblade Master and you're not Sora) ShadowHeartless (again, I hate myself for this) Angelus, zer003 (I was a robot, beep boop) and of course, AngelusZer003... I'm crazy religious about what should go into a username... no adjectives, no numbers, no _ or - or ~, only proper nouns and maybe titles.
