Although I'll probably go back to redrafting some of my short stories, they're legally complete.
Just finished another short story. Not bad if I do say so myself, when inspiration strikes, it strikes hard. The whole thing was in my head, maybe 20 minutes.

Stuff I get paid for 13 romance novels (under three different aliases) and one in final proofing to go to press 2/11/08 18 erotic novellas Not sure how many newspaper articles 9 articles in national magazines 34 Newsletters for apartment complexes/homeowners associations every month Not sure how many annual company reports Unpaid (for now!) 1 completed novel -- agent shopping it around even as we speak. 1 novel in progress -- at about 30,000 words. If it were a category romance, I'd be halfway done.
So far: 2 Novels completed and out on submission (each has made it out of the slush pile, so hoping for the best) 2 Novels started (only a few chapters in...waiting for more time) 3 Short stories published (one reprinted in an anthology) 4 short stories completed and out on submission 1 Short story in progress 10 Articles published (5 have been reprinted) 1 Article sitting idle (waiting for me to locate a market to submit to) So far I've been paid for all of my published short stories and reprints, but not at pro rates. The articles have earned a small sum each, but the reprints haven't been for pay) Along the way I've also collected more than a fair number of rejections. Terry
No reason for that. Everyone of us, along with Stephen King, Charles Dickens, Leo Tolstoy, Arthur Conan Doyle, and every other author on the shelves, or in magazines or papers, started with not a single printed word to their credit. Just keep writing, revising, and submitting.
thank you for saying that. I have not submitted anything but I do have a number of stories written just fine tuning them. Have been looking up Canadian Publishers since I would like to give my own country a try first. All my stories except one are children's stories
Three finished novels, two unfinished ones, and a menagerie of short stories and substandard poetry. None of which are published.
3 novels I've given up on 0 completed novels 1 completed short story 2 novels in the works 1 incomplete series 1 novel I'm going to start over and rewrite Blegh, I need to drop some of this crap.
2 more short stories on the way, inspiration has struck! That brings the Short Story tally upto 11, novels still the same. On hold.
1 finished Web-based story 2 more unfinished Web-based stories 1 incmoplete sci-fi novel (over halfway done) 1 fantasy novel I started but put on hold to work on the above Countless stories I've started and given up on 1 collaboration For the last one, I'm a member of a small site in which most of the members help write this big story. We all contribute one chapter at a time, in no particular order, and we all have our own characters that are more or less based off of ourselves. Plus some guest characters that we'd all recognize. It's not the most graceful writing in the world, but it's fun.
Working on 1 LOST story for a website and 5 uncompleted novels/novellas. i'm starting to think they'll never be finished ¬_¬
I write for my blog so therefore I am up to date with my short articles on non-fiction humor. I pick up ideas here and there, and write at every moment (sometimes during the workday when I' supposed to be working!). I was writing a short novel - but too much work for too little time. D.
3 short stories 8 or 10 poems (I don't remember the amount.) 1 incomplete novel (That I will not be picking up again for good reasons.) 1 novel and short story are in progress right now. I've started to write again awhile ago. I should have never stopped. But now I'm glad I got back to it.
2 incomplete short stories. 1 incomplete graphic novel. Many more short stories coming up and hopefully something novel length.
Around 100 short stories 3 novel manuscripts 2 more unfinished novel manuscripts 1 novella manuscript I don't know if it counts, but I was a regular columnist on my high school paper, so there's all of that. I'm a reporter for my college paper, so there's a couple of published stories every week as well. That probably numbers around 20 or 25 stories since I've been a part of that.
100 short stories, wow! I've started a small series of columns called 'Musings' in the hope of rekindling the writing flame. Random thoughts, to be honest.
