The only advice I can give you is that if you are trying to tell a story then you need to hint to certain things, rather than just telling them. I like the idea behind this, but it needs depth. People who are in anguish have a thousand little thoughts, all clustering together and breaking apart at any given time. Clear thinking is constantly marred by poisonous little ideas and the ones that get through are then shrouded in absolute doubt.

If, however, this is not fictitious and you're pouring your heart out into a letter... well, damn. Sorry, I'm terrible when it comes to real life. I'm far too honest. It's probably why I avoid relationships like the plague, they tend to be situated around lies meant to make you feel better.
