Love Never Lies?

  1. Was wondering about the saying that love adheres most to lies. OK, I said that, but I was wondering if it is true. Most people may deny this, but then I would ask them...what would your relationship be like if you never lied to her and she never lied to you. Never. Not even about the littlest thing.

I don't think its possible to have a relationship without lying. I know a few people who do it and their relations are very stressed.

Yeah, I just posted my thought on it. In these modern times...in any time...I'm sure it was common sense that there's the good lies and the bad lies. It's just funny how while we know that we still like to be romanticized by another who tells us those things. Probably cause it makes us feel good and if it feels good it can't be to bad, right?

Actually, now that I think about it, it's almost like drugs. We hear those good lies and they make us genuinely feel good. Like, "You're the most handsome man I'll ever know." You float on your high for a while until reality comes back and you remember there are indeed better looking people than you and probably not far from where you are right now and you anxiety begins to grow until they soothe you with another emotional fix.

I think most of those 'comfortable and close' but not really 'in love' relationships dwell more on those happy lies to soothe each others concerns, fears, and insecurities about things they know are there but they have to find a way to deal with without directly touching on it. However, the more truly in love a person is, the more they will be able to reveal the truth to one another because though shocking or potentially damaging, there relationship isn't based on deceptions the perpetrate to one another. Their honestly drawn to one another, in whatever fashion that takes shape.

Actually, I can probably address the point more by saying 'how often do you lie in a relationship, whether well-meaning or not?
