Should I copyright an unfinished screen play

  1. I accidentally sent a sample of my screenplay to my best friend to review. I sent it to an email address similar to his off by one letter. Now I'm wondering that someone else has my work and I'm thinking I may need to rush to copyright it. Any ideas community?

    Firstly, you might get more views and responses if you post this question in General Writing with a 'Copyright' prefix.
    Secondly, you never have to do "copyright it". As soon as you write something you have the copyright (unlike patents or trade marks where you have to apply to get one).
