If God liked books, he must have the greatest book EVER written. History. From the very beginning and on, it it's a story of awesome character development and sweeping scope on the parts of all it's characters. Imagine if souls really revolved in and out of death. Can you imagine God waiting in anticipation, checking posts and bulletins for when the release of his favorite characters Alexander the Great, Leonardo da Vinci, Adolf Hitler, Ramses, etc reappear? Tempered souls in new bodies with new environments and a new path before them. What will they do? Who will they become? Will they be great or small? Bad or good?
But even withou reaching into the metaphysical, having the extraordinary oversight of the history of all peoples would be amazing. And the pictures in the book. At a touch they move and play out the parts for as long as you want them to. Battles, plays, speeches, intrigues, revolts, etc...
But maybe it might not be so great. Maybe God would read it and feel like the same story keeps happening all over again. Same song, different stage. Maybe after the first ten centuries he hurls the book to the side. "Must be running out of ideas," he says. "They keep reinventing the old ones."
