Vinod Sailes is 62 (21.11.1949), a Roman Catholic, hailing from Kerala (a state known as “God’s own country” or “Paradise” (famous for cultivation of spices). Kerala is situated on the southern-most tip of India. This small state stands tall for its literacy amongst the rest of the nation, spread out in 28 states and 7 union territories.
St. Thomas the Apostle of Jesus Christ who came to India by sea route from Persia (Parthia) set foot in Kerala during 52 A.
D. whereby practically half of Kerala converted to Christianity, among them figured our forefathers. St Thomas met his end at the hands of pagans and infidels at a place in Madras today known as St Thomas’ Mount (Tamil Nadu) during 72 AD.
Was educated by Salesians of Don Bosco at Bandel Church, Hooghly P.O., West Bengal. Settled in New Delhi, own home.
