    New Albums!

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by ValianceInEnd, Sep 11, 2008.

Metallica's new album Death Magnetic just came out recently! I'm soooo excited!

Also AC/DC's new album Black Ice is due in October. It's a good year for music! Anyone else excited for new albums from their favorite bands?

Damone have just finished (last month) recording their new album, which remains unnamed.

They need to finish editing it and stuff then it should be out for release :D I will have to import it from America as they arent even that famous there, let alone England, where I have never ever heard them on the radio, in magazines etc.......

Lisa Hannigan released a solo album a couple of days ago - I'm looking forward to getting my hands on that. Later in the year, The Armada (Jeff Martin project, formerly of The Tea Party) will release their first album and I'm pretty happy about that, too. :)

Metallica's new album cant be any worse then st anger, so i might have a listen to it, but the fact they made an unforgiven 3 has turned me away.

< -- picked up Slipknots recently new album.

The Killers new one will be sweet (I hope).

    There could be hope.

Don't worry. It's definitely 10 times better than St. Anger.

Well i picked up Metallica's new album today - OK, but oh my god, some of the tracks are so over-lengthy its not funny. I never review anything on the first run so even though it hasent really impressed, i'll give it a listen to and from work every day - for some reason when its not running really loud (how i like it) and im distracted, songs stick better.

Also got Staind rather recently new album - Good as always

Picked up an early Jeff Loomis (guitarist from nevermore - most underrated guatarist in the rock world no question). The mans got some skills.

Well, I thought I would restart up this thread on account of two things 1.) People seem to enjoy music threads and 2.) The new Suicide Silence album, No Time To Bleed, is coming out on the 30th! :-D
Any new releases people out there are 'cited for?

New Dream Theater album Black Clouds and Silver Linings is out. My favourite by them since at least Six Degrees, possibly Scenes. I can't wait to finally see them live this summer.

Alizée, my favourite singer, is supposed to have a new album out later this year, around September. As nothing has been officially announced yet, and given her lousy history with release dates I'm not getting too excited until the first single is out.

VNV Nation has a new album out as well. I'm a bit disappointed in it- it reminds of Matter + Form only without a song as good as Chrome.

Arjen Lucassen has a new project coming out later this year called Guilt Machine. I'm not sure what I think about it- on the one hand, it's Arjen Lucassen who is up there with Neal Morse as my favourite song writer. On the other, I don't particularly like the lead singer he's picked this time.

Are you kidding me? Of course I'm excited! :p

The Working Title released a new album last month, and it now ranks among my top favorite albums.

The Audition already released one before The Working Title, and it was good as well.

Passion Pit released a new album "Manners" not too many days ago.

And Owl City and All Time Low will be releasing this month.

It's a great year for music.

But how many active music treads do we really need? Keep in mind there are other popular topics as well, so there's no need to monopolize the first page of the Lounge with one interest.

Just keep it in mind before you create a new thread or resurrect one - is there already another active thread just as suitable?
