    Tinkers by Paul Harding

Discussion in 'Discussion of Published Works' started by The Writing Writer, May 18, 2010.

Has anyone read Tinkers by Paul Harding? It got my attention from a NY Times article. After being on the independent bookstore circuit, the book won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for 2010 so I decided to take a look at it. I wasn't really that impressed. Granted there was a lot I liked about it. I really felt like I was part of the early 20th century setting. However, I felt distracted by the frequent use of long drawn out sentences and the changing point of views. What were your thoughts?
