Since the release of Twitch's area for "Creative" streaming they have hosted a marathon of Bob Ross' "The Joy of Painting" series. Whether you're interested in painting or not, I definitely suggest you to check it out. In just about half an hour he makes the most amazing of paintings, whilst also talking about what he's doing and the techniques he uses. Just sitting there and listening to his voice and seeing the painting grow is so relaxing, fascinating and inspiring (and I'm not even interested in painting)! I used to like watching Bob Ross when I was younger, but over the years my understanding and appreciation of art has matured, and I can now see his technique for what it is; Chocolate Box Painting for Idiots. His art is utterly void of artistic merit, and says absolutely nothing.
Let me just clarify I have nothing against the man. If the world was full of gentle folk like him, it would be a much happier place... full of shit paintings, but much happier. And speaking of shit, it wasn't my intention to drop one on your thread, @Komposten

I'm from the UK, Kingtype. Bob Ross is one of the very few American imports we used to get back then. Oh, him and the Red Hand Gang. That was American, right?
Oh right! Sorry forgot you were from UK, despite it being right there on your profile......lol But yeah Red Hand Gang is an American show But I've never seen an episode myself but boy what two strange imports. The Joy of Painting and Red Hand Gang.
