This is the first time that I will ever have done something even slightly related to blogging. For anyone who doesn’t know who Alan Partridge is, you may know the actor who plays him: Steve Coogan. Coogan has been playing this character since the 90’s and I must say, his humour isn’t for everyone, but I certainly enjoy all the podcasts and shows that Coogan has made about Alan Partridge and the antics he gets up to.
Basically he’s an incredibly self-centered, lonely and bigoted divorcee, and wallows in the wake of his long dead TV career, making ends meet by hosting radio shows and now, in the form of the excellent podcast “The Oasthouse - by Alan Partridge”.
I have created this blog because, for a long time, I have also been developing a character, much like Alan, who gets up to all sorts of stuff, is generally disliked by people and is also rather lonely. I will use it mainly as a writing exercise, but I hope it will also be entertaining for some of you.
Please feel free to comment on it, and if you want it to stop, then just let me know!
Regards,
Phoenix
