Fact, or Fiction?

  1. I cannot comment on the current political situation without it sounding like a dystopian novel. Everyday is filled with such writing prompts coming from the talking heads, and from the White House.

I wrote a story over the summer about Civil War II. It involved the secession of the West Coast, and an attempt to nuke San Francisco and Portland leading to a coup that restores some normalcy, but cannot save the union from dissolution. In one alternate time line the president is poisoned by his daughter who declares herself "Chief Associate of the United States," Which is the straw that finally broke the camel's back, causing what is left of the military to take over.

At least I am calling it fiction. Dark times ahead still threaten, due to people in power calling their fiction fact.

Wow, in a way, I think I am channeling Kilgore Trout.
