Depression is Hard

By Cave Troll · May 10, 2018 · ·
  1. Hard to stay positive when you feel and think badly of yourself.

Hard not to think that no one really understands or cares.

Hard to not think of everyone as seeing you as something to be rejected.

Hard not to feel alone and abandoned.

Hard not to feel useless and pointless.

Hard not to grow cold and numb.

Hard not to feel like a failure.

Hard not to think that life is just plain cruel.

Hard not to push others away.

Hard to not want to just give in or give up.

Hard to trust when you think you will just get hurt.

Hard not to make jokes and act a clown, to hide your in pain.

    Hard to not feel broken.

Hard to just stop having all these damn negative thoughts and feelings!

Depression you really suck, and I want to punch you in face really hard!

Anxiety is my number one issue. My depressions are more hills than mountains. Having said that, I am more than capable of turning that hill in to a mountain.

Depression is hard. It's maddening, lonely, and kicks you in the family jewels even when you don't have any. It's hard not to feel isolated when you're in the middle of it. Sometimes it's also hard to talk about it. I get it. I've been there. I am there. If you feel like you can talk about it or want to my box is always open.

@Corbyn thank you, I will keep that in mind when I feel
I can talk about things without it turning into a rant. Maybe
in a day or two when it simmers down a bit. :)

No problem... but remember, sometimes a rant does the soul/mind good.

Sometimes anxiety masquerades as depression. It did in my case.

Cave Troll, I hope you are getting some professional help. It really can make a difference, though sometimes you have to try a few people before you find the right one. The right med can help, too. There's no nobility in suffering needlessly.

Exercise helps, too. In my experience.

Only a punch in the face? You're more restrained than me! :p
