  1. like if I post something that even I think is garbage I'll get 10 replies explaining it to me, but when I post work I try and put some thought and editing into, it gets completely looked over, does the internet rule apply here?

    Internet Rule: When asking a question state it wrong so everyone will correct you and you can get the right information Example : Why does Zelda always say the princess? 1000 people ZELDA IS THE PRINCESS OMG OMG...

    It's the low-hanging fruit rule. A lot of people, especially brand new members, look for a piece to "critique" with the least possible effort just so they can post their "masterpiece" opus.

    Also, when someone IS puting forth the effort for a substantive critique, they often need to think through their response for a bit before replying.
