Me? You want to know about me? I... I don't know! Who am I? What is my purpose in life? I wonder if the ground will be my friend?

Ahem. Yes.

Well, I've been writing since I was 13, when I was accepted rather graciously into a writer's group made up entirely of people at least four times my age. They treated me like an equal (*certainly* they never censored their writing even with a young 'un in their midst!) and taught me more about writing than anything else ever has — for that I'm eternally grateful. It's been almost five years now, and I'm still going, and still learning.

I usually write short stories, though I've dabbled in poetry and completed NaNoWriMo once. I've started submitting to places, and have received some lovely and encouraging rejections!

I'm very much an optimist, I love well-written books regardless of genre (and some badly-written books, too!), and, like my username, it never pays to take me too seriously.
