I have been writing challenged for over twenty years. Rather than publishing as a serious author I have happily wasted time on fan fiction and other methods of procrastination. My educational background in nothing of great importance has provided me a broad base from which to approach many topics. My writing skills may be confirmed nowhere (provable fact.) Signature
In the dark right before dawn, the ashes curled away from the urn and over the edge of the small cliff, a cold breath of wind caught some and flung them back into her face. The grit bore within it a small, stinging slap, a bone fragment that resounded against her cheek. An ironic smile curved the hard line of her lips. That was so like her father, the sudden turn, the sharp lash of his anger. She should have expected something like it, this final testament to their relationship. The dust of her father's existence blowing into them is the only reason there are tears in her eyes.
