Writing is my passion, and I love that I have that in common with so many people on this site. But I also love that even though we have this in common, everyone on here is different; everyone has different things that spark their imagination, everyone has a story to tell, everyone has a past. It's always fascinated me how because of experiences, relationships, childhoods, etc, no one can be exactly the same. We can't possibly be sheep, it's impossible to not be an individual.

I try to apply this fact in my writing, plot and characters are very important to me, because I think there is nothing better than becoming emotionally invested in a story. It's beautiful in it's own way; that writers have the power to take us mundane folk on a spectacular journey. When I write my fantasy stories I try to give each character a backstory and a personality, because everyone has one. And I try to keep things as realistic as possible, even if my character is doing something surreal like flying a dragon.
