Gary Loucks

Born in Pennsylvania. Moved to Tennessee in 2003. Work for Tennessee Wildlife Resource's Agency (TWRA). I have an unusually elevated respect of wild places and their inhabitants. I am not an activist by any stretch of the imagination but, I have been accused of being one by those who do not know me. I love to write about outdoor experiences. A moment of discovery or amazement is worth noting in my journal and relaying to others. Many times my perspectives on human interaction with the wild places may seem one sided - on the side of things natural.

I spend all my time in the wilds of Tennessee, primarily on the lakes. My job takes me to the water every day. A visit to my blog will enlighten as to what my daily activity entails.

I'm traveling on a very twisty road through life. What started as a journey on a fast, four lane highway in the early years has diminished to a slow walk down a twisty, dirt, path toward an unknown destination. It's been a marvelous journey so far and I am hopeful that the end of the road holds the answer to the mysteries I energetically chased at the beginning.
