I like to call myself a writer and I've been doing that for years. When I told people this when I was younger, I was told 'Well, you have to have a real job too.' So, I went to university and studied ancient and medieval history, wrote for the student newspaper, then got a job as a web editor for a portfolio of magazines.
I've got that bit sorted now, and I've got hundreds of half finished stories and novel outlines on my hard drive. I think its about time I actually went ahead and tried to do what I always said I would.
