Since I was 13 I have thought of myself as a professional writer. Starting early, I wrote music and lyrics for a local band (who subsequently went on to tour as a support act for many years). At the same time I was starting to write comedy and was able to get some of my material accepted on Radio 4. I continued writing for radio, at the same time writing my own books and short stories. Having had two short stories published I submitted some manuscripts to publishers - the expected rejection letters being received forthwith. After one submission (and with the help of a friend from Radio 4) I was asked to ghostwrite an autobiography for a UK celebrity. This was published in 2007 and was followed in 2008 by a fiction book, ghostwritten for the same celebrity.

As well as those two books, I have had several short fantasy stories published and have recently been asked to pitch for a Children's book.
