3.Burial Ground, Michael McBride: Oh man! I managed to terrify myself by reading part of this story (intentionally, yes!) IN the Colombian Amazon Rainforest in the TOTAL darkness of my rented jungle cabin! (The story takes place in the Amazon, albeit, just across the border in Peru.) I do not scare easily, but the Amazon is a very scary place at night as it is!

My travels and interest in the Sciences has heavily influenced my writing. By age 21, I had visited all 50 states, and as of this writing (I am now 30) I have also visited 12 countries. Geology is a major area of interest for me. Volcanoes are my passion! I hike and photograph active volcanoes. Yes, this is true, and yes this is very dangerous, but it is also addicting! My first novella is about a fictional Oregon volcano erupting. I am most at home in the mountains. My latest work is set in an Eastern Pennsylvania coal mine. Mining is another life-long area of interest!
I am a Chemist by trade and I also have studied Fire Science. I have worked in the fields of Environmental Science, Agriculture, and the Glass and Steel Industries.
I enjoy spending time in nearby NYC, Philadelphia, or where ever my travels take me.
