Originally from California. Spent very early years in the redwoods of Northern California but spent most of my life in Orange county and L.A. area. 3 years in the Army severing in a few Asian countries.

Retired at 50. Worked in several different industries most of it related to electronics and computers. Done more then a little R & D work as a Project Engineer, Manager, Director and VP of Engineering. I've also managed Manufacturing, Purchasing, Vendor Development and other departments. I've spent a lot of time as a trouble shooter taking over dysfunctional departments, companies or projects then turning them around.

Done more then my share of technical writing. Took journalism and creating writing in high school even though I was a math major. Love learning and I'm an avid reader. My favorite is Science Fiction but like well done westerns and mysteries too. Read a lot of technical documents and reference material related to technology, science, history and economics.

I've slowed down quite a bit in the last few years do to health issues but I still manage to keep myself busy doing a variety of things including writing.
