The Bee

Hello! I'm Brooke, but a lot of people call me Bee. I'm a 26-year-old, full-time mother of one (Lillian, age 4) and wife to a wonderful husband, Charles (aka Trey), of two years. I have an addiction to creating characters, and lately I've been trying to fit them into novels built for them. I have a bad time at writing on most days since I get too distracted, or quit halfway through the novel itself. However, NaNoWriMo 2012 I finished my first rough draft. So now I'm just trying to figure out the editing process, and having a hard time with that.

I live in the Northwestern part of Mississippi in the countryside. There isn't much to do out here so I spend a lot of time reading and messing around on Facebook in between cooking, cleaning, and educating my daughter. I love all kinds of music, movies, etc. though I tend to stay pretty far away from country music and horror movies -- I just can't do them. I'd like to say I'm a frugal shopper, finding the hobby of clipping coupons and saving money a thrill, but I'm still learning a lot.

I've competed in NaNoWriMo since 2008, and I've only won twice. I'm hoping to continue editing my NaNo novel from 2012's win, and get into the habit of writing regularly.
